How to find a size

Because every single one of us is stressed out when we want to buy a bra I`m in hurry to give you some tips and some advice how to measure your size and what to look up before you buy one.

Where to begin

A common mistake is refusing to consider the possibility that your bra size has changed since the last time you were measured. In addition to the impact of age and lifestyle, your size will likely vary depending on the bra itself. But though sizing differs from brand to brand, there are two basic measurements that will guide you regardless: the band size, and the cup size.

Bigger size bra have to be very comfortable and move the body weight in suitable part of back. You have your bra on you all day long so wearing it cant be a nuisance - but good choice affects on maintenance straight figure and slim waist.

So what do we need?

  • a measure tape
  • a bra not older then one year old and the best will be a soft one so our measurment wont be cheated (for example if you have bra with push up)

Step 1: Find Your Band Size

Make sure to wear a lightly-lined or unpadded bra before measuring your band size. Take out a   measuring tape and wrap it snugly across your back, keeping it parallel to the ground, and measure  directly under your bust. Sizes under the bust are fixed every 5cm -65cm, 70cm, 75cm, etc. If we get a  result between sizes, e.g. 73, we lower it to an adjacent size, in this case, 70 cm.

Step 2: Measure Your Bust Size

The second step is to correctly determine the size of the cup. We make the measurement in the bra (preferably soft or stiffened, without additional inserts inside).    At the measurement, it is worth to slightly lean forward, which will give a more precise result especially when you have bigger breasts. Put the measuring tape to the chest at their widest point, more or less at the height of warts. Make sure that the measure touches slightly to the body, but does not overly clench.

Step 3: Determine Your Cup Size

Determining cup size is where things can get tricky because cup sizes can vary depending on the maker. The most  common way to calculate your cup size is by subtracting your band size from your bust size and using the difference to find  your cup size according to a bra size chart.

Bra Size Chart

As already mentioned, always use a soft measuring tape to determine bra size. You can note down the measurements in inches or note down the measurements in centimeters.

Do you have the right bra size?

The only way to tell whether the bra size given to you by a bra size calculator and chart is right is to put it to the test. Try on bras in your size from different brands and see whether you get the same comfort and support from each one.

What the right fit feels like:

  • The straps stay put on your shoulders and don’t dig in.
  • The band sits snugly against your back on any hook, ideally the loosest one. There should only be enough room to slide one finger underneath the band.
  • The cups properly cover your breasts with no overflow or gaps.
  • The underwire sits comfortably under your breasts.

You can also look at it the other way and determine whether you have the wrong bra size based on the tell-tale signs of a bad bra fit: cup gaps, straps and bands that are either too loose or tight, band riding up, etc.

What the wrong fit feels like:

  • The straps dig into your shoulders leaving painful marks, or slide off, especially if they’re adjusted to the tightest fit.
  • The band feels too tight or loose, especially if it squeezes or rides up on the loosest hook or slides around on the tightest hook.
  • Your breasts overflow out of the cups or the cups have gaps.
  • The underwire sits on top of your breasts (not only uncomfortable, but defeats the whole purpose of an underwire!).

After you read our guide, you should be able to find the right size of your bra. Most women neglect this very important process. What about you? What about your friends? Do you know how to find the right size? Most of the time, we don't pay much attention to it. We just have a habit of buying without trying on. To help that process it is very important to understand how to measure and what cup size to choose. Stop your habit, try a different way. Next time, before you go to the shop, measure yourself. I guarantee you, that the right size of the bra will boost your confidence (I swear!)

As You are already an expert about the sizes let me tell you the most important lesson that you will get today. Finding your size is very important but the most important is how you feel in your new underwear. And if you dont feel comfortable, confident and sexy!! You have to keep looking!!

    Sister Sizes

These are sizes of bras that have a similar cup volume (i.e. they will fit similarly sized breasts), but different sizes under the bust. These sizes, of course, differ in the number denoting the size under the bust (e.g. 38 and 36). Moreover, a bit counterintuitive, they also differ from each other with the letter of the cup. For example, 38G and 36H are sister sizes.

When we look at the sizes of bras arranged in a table where each row corresponds to the size under the bust, and each column corresponds to the size of the cup, the sister sizes will be "diagonally up".
